This includes transit buses and school buses as cargo buses as well as shuttles. EV Star is a zero-emission vehicle that offers a lot of customization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It offers a range that is world-class and ADA wheelchair provisions. It also has cargo delivery options. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and can be adapted to suit a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clear paper sheet, which allows for the best placement of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This leads to better payload/range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX is designed to meet the needs of mid-to-last mile refrigerated delivery as well as catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks' one interior wall structure, and higher insulation than traditional trucks, allows for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local highway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, while the EV9 is a master of suppressing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The car's acceleration is surprisingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes to enable “one-pedal driving” simply by releasing the accelerator. The EV9 has a wide range and can be recharged in three hours or less at home, or by using any commercial charger. GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA certified. This means they will be eligible for federal assistance in transit.
